I have been facilitating this 10 module course for many years and bring to you my expereince in homebirth, hospital birth and remote South East Asian villages I live and work in. The course has a hand off birth approach. Trusting women to do what they want birthing their child.
To enrol or for information contact Gary, my husband who is very much part of my Doula life. gazzalove@gmail.com. He or I are happy to answer any questions.
A module will be posted weekly in your Facebook study group, and the recording of Zoom sessions are available there.
Allow 4-6 hours a week to do the each module and at the end of each module there is a Reflection page to send back to me. This is adult learning and there are no right or wrong answers. Just your thoughts, feelings and reflections for the week relating to the subject matter. I will respond with comments as we get to know each other and I better understand you and your needs relating to being a Doula. Reflective practice is a big part of beig an aware and conscious Doula. We take responsibility for our own actions and words.
You have 6 months to complete the course. Doing weekly modules is the most effective way to participate, but I get that life happens. Set aside the time in your diary as if you were attending a course outside home to give yourself the space and time to immerse yourself in this amazing self-discovery, reflective and awe inspiring information. Women are amazingly magical, spiriutal, complex beings. Join me in exploring the depths of these complexites that is birthing women. The honour to serve these women is yours, as a Doula. Open your heart and mind to new learning and serving without expectation.
